Sourdough Starter Class

Join us for an evening of hands-on learning to make your own sourdough starter! Andrea Kempf, owner of Kneading Dough in Eureka, will be instructing. All materials are included, just bring your own large bowl to take your starter home.
Market Outlook

The Peoria County Farm Bureau Marketing Committee will be hosting a market outlook meeting on Tuesday, June 17th at 6 pm at the Farm Bureau Park. This event will feature Logan Kimmel an Ag Consultant from Roach Ag Marketing LTD with a discussion on crop markets. The program will also include a discussion on livestock markets with more information on a speaker to come. To wrap up the program, Peoria County Farm Bureau director Michael Gill is going to show members the drone that he uses and a demonstration of how the drone operates.
A catered meal by Rabers will be made available to members and there is no cost to attend.
Golf Scramble
June 21, 2025 | 8am Shotgun Start | Oak Run
$50 for Farm Bureau Members | $70 for Non-Members
The Peoria County Farm Bureau Golf Scramble is scheduled for Saturday, June 21, at Oak Run. The address of Oak Run is 1468 Knox Road 1725 N., Dahinda, IL 61428. It will be a shotgun start beginning at 8 a.m. The cost for members will be $50 which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, and a meal. The non-member price is $70. Checks should be made payable to the Peoria County Farm Bureau. The meal will include pulled pork, baked beans, au gratin potatoes, Prairie Farms Vanilla Ice Cream, lemonade, and iced tea.
Participants must be at least 12 years old. Teams will consist of 4 people. Members signing up as individuals will be placed with other participants to make up a team of 4.
Prizes will be awarded to members of the 1st and 2nd Place teams with the lowest score. Individual awards for the Longest Putt, Closest to the Pin, and Men and Women’s Longest Drive, will be presented at the conclusion of the event. There will also be several door prizes distributed.
Beekeeping Class

Luke Harvey from the Heart of Illinois Beekeepers will lead the program. All farm bureau members are invited to attend this program. More information will be made available as we get closer to July.
