Peoria County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting

Saturday, November 15th | $20 per person | Registration Required by Friday, October 31st

The Peoria County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting will be held Saturday, November 15, at the ITOO Hall located at 4909 W. Farmington Road, Peoria. Registration will be from 5:00 - 5:45 p.m. Prime Rib will be served by Raber’s at 6 p.m. During the business meeting, ten township directors will be elected to a two-year term and four officers to a one-year term. There is a 10-year tenure for directors and officers.

In accordance with Peoria County Farm Bureau policy, Director qualifications for a township position require a voting membership in good standing and at the time of their election must reside and/or have a vested interest in the township from which they are elected.

The guest speaker at the annual meeting this year is Illinois Farm Bureau vice president, Evan Hultine. There will be a short LIVE Auction occurring between the business meeting and speaker. The auction is a fundraiser for the PCFB Foundation to offer scholarships to students pursuing a degree related to agriculture.

Evan Hultine of Princeton, Illinois was elected in December 2023 as vice president of the Illinois Farm Bureau. Prior to that he served as the Bureau County Farm Bureau president. Evan operates the family farm with his father. They grow corn, soybeans, and seed corn in Bureau County. He has been a leader in the Bureau County Farm Bureau since 2011, serving as their Young Leader Committee chair and BCFB Foundation president, in addition to serving as the BCFB president for seven years. He was a member of the IFB State Young Leader Committee from 2013-2016 and elected as the chair and an advisory member with the IFB Board of Directors for 2016.

In his capacity as vice president of the Illinois Farm Bureau, Hultine is also vice president of COUNTRY Financial, Illinois Agricultural Service Company, and the IAA Foundation. He serves as Chairman of the IFB Finance Committee, Resolutions Committee, and the COUNTRY/IAA Governance Committee. Evan participated on the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Issue Advisory Committees from 2017-2021. He is a member of the agriculture advisory committees for his state senator and state representative, as well as Congressman Darin LaHood. Evan was recognized and honored as the winner of the IFB Young Leader Achievement Award in 2022 and the national 3rd place finisher in the 2023 AFBF Young Farmers and Ranchers Achievement Award competition.

Evan holds a bachelor’s degree in horticulture from the University of Illinois. When he is not immersed in farming or Farm Bureau responsibilities, he performs weddings as a wedding officiant.
