New Building Update - May 15, 2026

Since the construction of the new Farm Bureau building is going to begin soon, it’s important that Farm Bureau members are kept informed on the status of the project. This month we want to provide some updates on the beginning of the project and an idea of what this new facility will look like and what it will accomplish.

The Farm Bureau office building and event space will be located at the Farm Bureau park. The office and event space will sit to the east of the Soil and Water building, and the entrance will be located off Smith Rd. The office building will include 8 offices, a conference room, kitchenette, two large handicap restrooms, and overhead storage. Attached to the office there will be an event space with concrete flooring. This space will have heat and air conditioning. The event area will be available for members to rent and is where Farm Bureau programs will be held. Parking around the office will be in the front and sides.

What does the Farm Bureau hope to accomplish with this new facility? The goal for this new facility is to improve the membership experience and use it as a tool to bring in new membership. Members will have the ability to rent out the event space year-round for family, business, and social functions. The Farm Bureau will be able to host programs in this facility year-round and have events like the annual meeting along with fruit sales.

Along the same lines as membership, this space will be used by 4-H clubs in Peoria County for meetings, classes, and projects. FFA groups in Peoria County will also have the opportunity to use the facility. This will have a positive impact on the next generation and bring in more members to Farm Bureau.
